Inter-Cohort Games 2011

The sun beats down on the cemented court as droplets of sweat roll off foreheads and arms. The people here are waiting for something; muscles are tensed as silence is given a brief period of reign. There is a whoosh and a smack. And suddenly, the group of people move as one entity. The focus is immediately drawn to a single individual who jumps as high and as hard as he can. His aim? To whack the ball into enemy grounds. With one hit, the ball flies into the opposing court. Game over. This was the scene in the volleyball/basketball court three days before the beginning of a long awaited campus event in MCKL: the 2011 Inter-cohort Games. That was just a practice session by the way. Yes, we take games very seriously here, in case you haven’t noticed already.

Last CF (First Half of the Semester, 2011)

13 May 2011, MCKL Hall. The MCKL Christian Fellowship (CF) had its last meeting before the semester break had begun. There was a mixed atmosphere of joy and sadness. It was joyful because everyone was praising and worshipping God; sad because it was the last CF meeting for the seniors of January and March 2010. It was a time where CF goers testify about the awesome time they had at CF and in College, reminiscing on the unforgettable memories they had. At the end, the worship team presented a surprise number, once again giving all glory to God. Although the event was over, students still lingered around to take photos with one another, not willing to let go of the final moment that was left. ...

Easter Rally 2011

29 April 2011, MCKL Hall. Adorable bunnies. Colourfully-painted eggs. Are these what Easter is about? The true meaning of Easter depicts a humble story of how Jesus Christ has risen after He died on the cross for the world. The Christian Fellowship (CF) had an opportunity to convey this message of Truth to the students of MCKL. The theme given to the Easter Rally this year is the cliqued Einstein formula, E=MC2D (Easter: My Christ Conquered Death). The event started with a time of worshipping God with music and singing. Next, a silent sketch, presented by CF members, kept the audience entertained and anticipated. After that, Mr. Yoshua, special speaker and CF advisor, presented a message on Easter in an interesting and impactful manner, which kept all eyes glued on him.
